As there is a global high demand for tech, more young people are now wanting to explore this as a career path.
According to Nicholas Avramis, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant at Beaver Immigration, many tech and medicine qualifications have been popular amongst South African youth who migrate to Canada.
Recently, Beaver Immigration released a study that has indicated a 70% increase in South African students migrating to Canada for educational purposes.
Avramis confirmed that most of the time, students apply for College two-year Diplomas and it said that these courses are a cheaper option.
It has been reported that most Colleges help their students look for a job after graduation. Corporate companies also assist in recruiting mostly IT, medicine, and business graduates.
Canada offers a three-year open work permit to international students once they graduate, this then allows the individual to work in Canada for a year and then apply for permanent residency (PR).
Permanent residency falls part of the student's education plan when they choose to study in this country, something that is rare to find in other countries.
In an interview, Avramis added:
Canada rewards foreign students and offers them an opportunity to then apply for citizenship after only two years rather than three years after gaining permanent residency.
This is an advantage for an individual that plans to stay in Canada.
It has been reported that Canada has a high number of international students than any other country.
