Sassa Confirms Grant Payment Schedule For May

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has announced when it will be administering social grants for the month of May 2022.

Since Sassa has been operating since 2006, the agency has been administering social grants to the South African population.

It has been reported that 46% of the South African population relies on social grants that are paid out monthly. It's important that beneficiaries keep their eyes open for monthly payment dates.

For the month of May, Older Person’s Grant beneficiaries will start receiving their grant from 3 May 2022. Disability Grant beneficiaries will start receiving their grant from 4 May 2022.

This includes social grants that are linked to one of the two above-mentioned accounts.

As per the announcement by the Agency, beneficiaries for other social grants will receive payments according to the payment schedule below:

02 May 2022 - No Payment

03 May 2022 - No Payment

04 May 2022 - No Payment

05 May 2022 - No Payment

06 May 2022 - No Payment

09 May 2022 - 080 & 085

10 May 2022 - 081 & 086

11 May 2022 - 082 & 087

12 May 2022 - 083 & 088

13 May 2022 - 084 & 089

16 May 2022 - 080 & 085

17 May 2022 - 081 & 0896

18 May 2022 - 082 & 087

19 May 2022 - 083 & 088

20 May 2022 - 084 & 089

23 May 2022 - 080 & 085

24 May 2022 - 081 & 086

25 May 2022 - 084 & 089

26 May 2022 - 083 & 088

27 May 2022 - 084 & 089

30 May 2022 - 080 & 085

31 May 2022 - 081 & 086

Only qualifying beneficiaries will receive this month’s social grant payouts.

Should you lose your card, it is advisable that you go to their nearest post office or bank to report the matter and get further assistance.
