June 2025 Sassa Grant Payments

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has dismissed reports that grant beneficiaries will receive double payments in June 2025. 

A post being shared on social media claims that grant beneficiaries will receive a double grant payment for June 2025. Similar claims were made earlier this year.

Are Sassa Grant Payments Doubled For May and June 2025?

Sassa said this information was false and grant payments will proceed as normal for the sixth month of the year.

The information below is FALSE and did NOT originate from Sassa. Please ignore it and ensure you stay informed by following only official Sassa communication channels for accurate updates. 

The head of communication at Sassa, Paseka Letsatsi said beneficiaries must only rely on reputable sources for updates on Sassa grants

He further cautioned beneficiaries against sharing unverified information.

Before anyone can share any information pertaining to social grants, they must first verify its authenticity to avoid disseminating false information that may cause anxiety and stress to our beneficiaries. 

How Much Are Sassa Grant Payments For June 2025

  • Old age grant - R2310 
  • War veterans grant - R2330
  • Disability grant - R2330
  • Foster care grant - R1250
  • Care dependency grant - R2310
  • Child support grant - R560
  • The grant-in-aid - R560

Beneficiaries are encouraged to practice caution when encountering information regarding Sassa grant payments for June 2025.

Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up, and Grant-in-aid. This is in addition to the approximately 8 million Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant beneficiaries.
