The registration period is still underway for many of the country’s higher learning institutions, including Unisa. The institution provides the option of delivering study material either in hard copy or online form to students, and is now giving them the chance to choose the option that suits them best.

With the heavy adoption of online learning in higher learning institutions peaked due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the University of South Africa followed suit to ensure that all its distance learning students could keep up with their studies.

Part of this includes delivering study material in online form, while keeping the traditional physical form of receiving it as an additional option. Unisa has found that since then, some students have claimed that they registered improperly by selecting the online-only option.

Due to this, students have been frequently contacting Unisa to seek delivery of their study materials in hard copy. So If you have incorrectly marked the "Online only no hard copy study material to be supplied" option when registering for semester 1 of 2023, don't worry! Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Send an email to the following email addresses:

Ms Thelma Mangena – mangemt@unisa.ac.za
Mr Mduduzi Zulu – zulum@unisa.ac.za
Ms Nkadimeng Lebone – Nlebone@unisa.ac.za
Ms Anthea Clarke – Aclarke@unisa.ac.za
Mr Tshidisho Madiseng – Madisrt@unisa.ac.za

In your email, make sure you request that hard copy study materials be delivered to you. It's essential to note that you need to send the email from your Unisa email address, which is the one you used to register for the semester.

Step 2: Wait for a response from the Despatch department, who will confirm that they have received your email and have processed your request.

Step 3: Once the Despatch department confirms your request, you need to wait for your hard copy study materials to be delivered to your registered address. The delivery process may take some time, so patience is essential.

Step 4: When you receive your hard copy study materials, make sure that you check everything to ensure that you have received all the necessary materials. If anything is missing, you need to contact the Despatch department immediately.

So you can still receive hard copy study materials by following the steps outlined above. Make sure that you act quickly to avoid any delays in your studies.
