How To Cancel NSFAS

There are many reasons why an applicant may choose to withdraw their application; maybe they've secured funding elsewhere, don't require funding anymore or have simply decided to part ways with NSFAS.

How To Cancel NSFAS Application

For whatever reason, if you are looking to cancel your online application to NSFAS, here are the steps do so:

  1. Login into your MyNsfas account on Nsfas' website.
  2. On the NSFAS dashboard, scroll down and select "View Applications" under Application Tracker.
  3. Select Track Application.
  4. Select Cancel Application

Funding applications can be submitted on the NSFAS portal, MyNsfas.

You must meet the following criteria in order to be deemed eligible to receive funding from NSFAS.

  1. Be a South African citizen
  2. All Sassa grant recipients qualify for funding
  3. Your household must have a combined household income of not more than R350 000 per annum.
  4. People with disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  5. Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
