The main reason for studying a postgraduate course is that you can extend your knowledge, skills and career development. Generally, postgraduate courses are designed for students who wish to pursue a higher level of knowledge in a particular area. This may be for academic reasons such as furthering research, or for practical reasons such as enhancing your career prospects.
Postgraduate study is usually more intensive than undergraduate study and requires greater commitment. It is usually more specialised and based on the assumption that you already have a fundamental understanding of the subject.
