How To Submit Your University Of Limpopo Application

The University of Limpopo was formed as a result of a merger of two institutions of learning, ever since, the university has been offering diverse qualifications. If you’re interested in studying towards one of the qualifications, here’s how you can apply.

The University of Limpopo was established when the University of the North and the Medical University of South Africa merged.

Currently, these two institutions are two campuses that have an offering of qualifications in health sciences, humanities, science & agriculture, including in management and law. If these are one of the fields that you aspire to pursue a qualification in, then you may use the following application processes:

New applicants:

  1. Follow the link of the university's student portal.
  2. Click on the new application link.
  3. The drop down will prompt if you already have a student number, click on ‘No’.
  4. The drop down will prompt if you are returning to complete the application, click on ‘No’.
  5. Read the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act), then click on accept and proceed with your application.

Returning Applicants:

  1. Follow the link of the university's student portal.
  2. Enter your student number and five digit pin, then click on log in.
  3. Click on the Returning Students Application tab.
  4. Read the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act), then click on accept.
  5. Click on the ‘Show Academic Applications’ and then proceed with your application.

You should make sure that you have an active email account, so that the university can easily communicate with you. The application fee for South African applicants is R200, and R750 for International applicants.

Payments are deposited into the university bank account numbers, using your Identity numbers/Passport numbers as your reference.

After successfully submitting your application, you will be alerted through a confirmation email from the University of Limpopo.

 If you have plans to study but have no financial means, keep an eye on when the National Student Financial Aid Scheme will open its cycle of applications.
