The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) is a popular independent provider of accredited Applied Psychology courses. Many students would like to study at SACAP but don't have the funds to do so. A potential solution to this is the popular funding scheme in South Africa known as NSFAS, but do they cover SACAP courses?

SACAP has courses in Applied Psychology, Management and Leadership that are offered on a full time or part-time basis. Students have the option of studying at one of their 4 campuses in South Africa or online.

With SACAP's flexible approach to delivering education, it may attract many students, including students who may not have the funds to do so. These students may opt to look at and apply for funding at NSFAS which is a popular student funding scheme.

The National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funds students who come from poor or working-class families who would like to attend a tertiary education institute. NSFAS funds most courses at the universities and colleges in South Africa, but SACAP is not one of them.

Although NSFAS does not fund SACAP courses,  there are other forms of funding available for students who would like to attend SACAP.

Here are possible funding solutions for students who would like to attend SACAP:

Fundi

Fundi is the recommended choice of funding by SACAP. They offer loans such as tuition loans, device loans and MBA loans. Fundi's online platform can also help students find accommodation, buy airtime, data and get eBooks.

The loans offered by fundi can be paid back by having them deducted from your salary or by debit order.

Student Loans

Banks such as Capitec, Standard Bank, FNB and Nedbank offer student loans at lower interest rates. These student loans will be paid directly to your tertiary institution and are available to full time and part-time students.

Full-time students will be allowed to repay the loan once they have completed their studies and part-time students will be given a payments plan that will consist of monthly payment instalments.
