Are you thinking of starting your own business? You might then have so many questions. In a chat with Careers Portal,  social entrepreneur Caryn from Sisterhood Success Club gave a few simple tips on how to start your own business.

1. Be willing to learn

There is an absolute wealth of resources online that you can delve into.

You don't have to spend plenty of money on enrolling in university degrees, use these free tools, websites and courses to your advantage to broaden your skillset and never stop learning.

2. Start where you are

Starting your business early on allows you to  network, learn about the industry and gain valuable entrepreneurial experience through internships, mentorships or work experience. However, it's never too late to find your passion or decide on a career change.

3. Be willing to take risks

To some degree you're going to have to make friends with risks.

When starting your own business the outcome is unpredictable, so you need to get comfortable with taking risks. However, if you are someone who is a little more cautious, you can ask around, get people's feedback and do some of your own research to help put your mind at ease.

3. It's okay to make mistakes

Mistakes are all part of the journey and it's best to see your mistakes as a learning curve and evaluate what you can do better next time to avoid making the same mistakes again. As an entrepreneur you are continually growing and learning, so have patience with yourself  and accept that mistakes are just part of the growth journey.

4. If you can, invest in a mentor

Having someone to guide you can be very beneficial as you can learn from their mistakes and avoid making the same ones as them. Perhaps look in your own circle, maybe you know someone who is a small business owner or has entrepreneurial experience and ask them for some advice.

If you're starting a business, you should definitely consider working with The Sisterhood Success Club. They provide guidance, support, tools and resources to help you build a wildly successful business.

Hopefully these tips give you the confidence you need to take the next step and kickstart your entrepreneurial journey!
