Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy Internship Programme Now Open (Johannesburg North)

The Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy, part of St Stithians College, in partnership with the FirstRand First Job Programme, is offering a 12-month internship opportunity designed to help you launch your career.
The internship will run from 01 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, providing successful candidates with hands-on experience in various departments within St Stithians College’s Shared Services division.
What the Internship Programme Offers
Interns will be placed in different teams aligned with their academic background and career interests. This programme is structured to help participants develop their skills while contributing meaningfully to core business operations. Areas of placement include:
- End User Computing
- Procurement
- Finance
- Fundraising, Data and Communications
- Health and Safety
Interns will be involved in real projects and collaborate with professionals across departments, gaining exposure to key processes in a dynamic working environment.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
- Be a South African citizen, aged between 19 and 34 years
- Must not have previously participated in any internship or learnership programme
- Live within 50 km of St Stithians College (40 Peter Place, Lyme Park, Sandton)
- Not currently enrolled as a full-time student
- Be available to work full-time during the internship period
- Willing to undergo background screening, including criminal and credit checks
