Seriti Internship Programme Now Open For Applications
Seriti is offering an exciting Internship Programme designed to provide graduates and young professionals with structured experiential learning in the mining environment. The programme runs over a period of 42 months and aims to develop participants into future leaders within the organisation, preparing them for substantial career opportunities at Seriti.
Programme Responsibilities
During the internship, candidates will be expected to:
• Present key learnings to management after each phase of the programme
• Identify and complete a major project in the second year, to be presented upon programme completion
• Attend prescribed training courses, seminars, and workshops
• Act in different roles within the discipline to gain exposure and practical skills
• Participate in value-adding projects and conduct research to suggest improvements
• Network with internal and external stakeholders
• Engage with mentors and technical coaches for career development
Requirements for Internal Applicants
• Prior experience in mining production, geology, or mine planning
• Recognition of prior learning will be considered
• Advantageous: Started or completed Strata Control Certificate in Coal
• Proven completion of a relevant project
• Theoretical knowledge in the field of study
• Maturity, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn
• Business writing, planning, and organisational skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
Requirements for External Applicants
• BSc Engineering (Mining) / BSc Geology (Hons) / BEng Tech (Hons)
• Strong references and proven project experience
• Theoretical knowledge in field of study
• Maturity, motivation, and eagerness to learn
• Business writing and organisational skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s licence and Certificate of Fitness (or ability to obtain one)
Advantageous for All Applicants
• Temporary work experience in a related field
• Knowledge of Seriti business principles and values
• Understanding of Seriti’s value chain, codes of practice, procedures, and standards
