ArcelorMittal South Africa is offering an exciting Learner Technician Programme designed to help you meet your Work Integrated Learning (WIL) requirements and kickstart your career.
About the Programme
ArcelorMittal’s 12-month Learner Technician Programme offers young engineering students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. This structured training programme provides practical exposure, guided mentorship, and the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in the steel manufacturing industry.
Successful applicants will be employed on a 12-month fixed-term contract, gaining invaluable experience in a high-performance, innovation-driven environment.
Engineering Disciplines Available
Applicants must have completed S5 studies in one of the following fields at a recognised University of Technology:
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of S5 studies from a recognised South African University of Technology
- A proven academic track record of excellence
- A confirmation letter from your institution indicating the need for WIL placement
Personal Qualities We’re Looking For
- Strong theoretical understanding of engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
